Buntu Bethu Holdings Group is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team at our corporate headquarters.
JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the HR department, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. The role involves managing employee records, assisting with recruitment processes, handling HR documentation, and serving as a point of contact for HR-related queries.
Key Responsibilities(but not limited to):
1. Administrative Support:Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in both physical and digital formats.Assist in the preparation of HR documents, including contracts, policies, and performance reviews.Schedule and coordinate interviews, meetings, and training sessions.Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.2. Recruitment and Onboarding:Assist in posting job vacancies on various platforms and managing candidate applications.Schedule interviews and follow up with candidates.Support the onboarding process by preparing welcome kits, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring new hire paperwork is completed.
3. Employee Relations:Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll.Support HR in organising team-building activities, events, and training programs.Liaise with Trade Union Reps.
4. Data Management and Reporting:Compile and analyse HR data for reporting purposes.Track employee attendance, leave balances, and other key HR metrics.Assist with payroll preparation by providing necessary employee data.
5. Compliance:Ensure HR practices comply with labor laws and company policies.Monitor and track training compliance and certifications where applicable.
6. General Support:Provide support to the HR Team Leader or team as required.Handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.Source volunteers for ad hoc events.

Location: 160 Eloff Street, Village Deep. Johannesburg.Minimum working hours: 40 Hours/week.
Desired Experience & Qualification: • At least 2 years working experience as an HR Assistant or related role• Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or similar field• Strong administrative and interpersonal skills• Good understanding of HR functions and best practices• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams) • Experience on SAGE would be added advantage
