We are looking for a vibrant and proactive Store Manager to be based in one of our stores in Cape Town V&A Waterfront.

Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Ensure all customer complaints are resolved.Maintains store staff by orientating, and training employees.

Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Achieves financial objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing relationships with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.

Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving and maintaining inventories.

Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; and studying sale trends.

Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.

Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.

Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.

Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements of the Mall, Labour and all compliances needed.

Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Inventory: ensure monthly stocktaking are done and reports of findings are submitted.

Banking: Print all cash ups on a daily basis and refunds are filled with proper documents.

Petty cash: Ensure all documents are in place before withdrawing.

Attendance register: monitor and send staff hours by 10am on the 24th of each month or the day before if the 25th falls on weekend.

Monthly declarations: submit to the V&A Waterfront before due date.

V&A Waterfront newsletter: read and understand and share information with the team.

Essential: Grade 12

Essential: Diploma or Degree in retail/finance management.

Minimum 3-5 years in a store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or successful completion

Strong retail/FMCG background.

Knowledge of stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedure.

Knowledge of Customer service excellence.
